Distinctive in its styling, the musical movement of this substantial Swiss cylinder box is mounted vertically in a fine burl walnut case with satinwood inlay and ebony accents, instead of in the more traditional horizontal configuration. Six brass bells keep time to the music and provide a wonderful, uplifting quality to the 12 songs available on the brass cylinder. The original song card lists the tunes including "Home, Home to Father," "I Belong to Glasgow," and "The Rowdy Dowdy Boys."
