A lovely figural veilleuse depicting St. Cecilia, the early Christian virgin martyr and the patroness of church music. A similar piece is pictured in Harold Newman's Veilleuses, A Collector's Guide on page 147 and is part of the French collection belonging to Mlle. Gisèle Poulnais.
