Three crystal perfume bottles are ingeniously “locked” within this exquisite engraved bronze and enamel tantalus, retailed by Tiffany & Co., Union Square. The tantalus is marked “Betjemann’s Patent London/The Tantalus.” Tiffany’s Union Square location opened in New York in 1870 and pieces bearing the Union Square mark are increasingly rare.
