A spectacular clock garniture featuring an annular dial clock and two urns crafted of lovely rouge marble with doré bronze mounts. Annular dial clocks, referred to as cercles tournants in France, are clocks with ring-shaped dials that revolve around a fixed pointer. This clock's time and strike movement is contained within the marble vase and it features two dials, or chapter rings, one denoting the hour, the other denoting the minutes. Cupid serves as the decorative fixed point of this timepiece.
